"Finding Freedom: Deborah's Choice" Performance
In April of 1781, a British warship named the Savage sails down the Potomac River, demanding supplies from the farms and plantations in both Maryland and Virginia and threatening to burn those that don’t comply. For supporters of the Revolutionary cause, this ship and its sailors pose a dire threat. But for those enslaved at these properties, the British offer an opportunity: a chance to escape their bondage and possibly live a life in freedom. But what - and who - would they leave behind?
Sixteen-year-old Deborah was enslaved at Mount Vernon, the plantation of Continental Army Commander in Chief George Washington. In this theatrical performance, she wrestles with the decision of whether to leave and take a chance at freedom, or to stay behind, with her family and community. Is freedom worth the risks? Is staying? Watch to discover her story.
"Deborah’s Choice" was written by local playwright Ang Bey and performed by actor Taylor J. Mitchell. The performance video was produced by the Museum of the American Revolution. Funding for this project generously provided by Gabriela Aragon and the Pennsylvania State Society Children of the American Revolution.

I have read Tim's John Barry book. I only wish the book came out in audio format. As built the frigate Alliance 36 came out with 12 pound cannonballs however after the Alliance vs Atlanta and Trespesy fight the Alliance had the 12 pounders with 18 pounders. During the fight off Cape Canaveral the Alliance 36 fought the fight with 18 pounders. Often while driving I read Tim's " Give Me A Fast Ship"

Even if you know what the letter is, it's dumb to have two that are so confusingly similar. I see a ligature "ct". Adobe has this in the private use area: . Looks like an embellishment to use occasionally in a quote. But I went to a website where they have every combination of "ct" like that somehow.

Great video One of my favorite American history stories is the building of the railroad, it was right after war and the country needed to keep the people busy and looking forward so on railroad came Union and Confederate soldiers along with recently free Black Americans, the Irish and the Chinese Different religion and skin tones and came together to build the railroad to really make America what it is today

This is what the tent means to me. No President was needed and loved like Washington. He never left his troops, he suffered with them. He had nothing to gain and everything to lose. He lost his only stepson at Yorktown days after Corwallis' surrender. He singlehandedly turned the hearts of his own military at Brewster who were set to march to Philadelphia against the seated government. With the war successfully prosecuted, he could have ruled but eschewed power to return home. With the states in disarray, he leaves retirement to lead the Constitutional Convention. And when it came time to choose the first executive to lead the nation, they did not tell him, you should be the president. They told him you must be the president. So he left Mount Vernon and retirement again to serve. Thank you Mr. President.

Benedict Arnold was an American Hero and Patriot! It was his effort that won the revolution. He was the first President that lived in the Presidents House in Philadelphia, yes I said President, before George Washington. It was Benedict Arnold that crossed the Delaware and was in Valley Forge. George Washington and Benedict Arnold have a similar appearance, it was Benedict Arnold that knelt in prayer at Valley Forge, not George Washington, Benedict Arnold was Jesus Christ, the Savior and Messiah, reincarnated, thus the smears and lies from the Freemason Lucifer worshiping faction in which George Washington belonged and was even married to a man, and his name was Martha. President Donald J. Trump is also the Savior, Jesus Christ, the Messiah reincarnated, we are living in the Kingdom of God, I have made a videos on my channel in which every one was made through the inspiration of Jesus Christ, through dreams, visions and direction from Him. I have linked one video about Benedict Arnold Below. studio.ua-cam.com/users/videoiK8c7cMvSxM/edit

Ya know...Sir Edward Coke (Petition of Rights) became The Parliament Bill of Rights honored by The Magna Carta after The Glorious Revolution of 1688, The English Civil War, The Great Puritan Migration, The 30 Years' War, Guy Fawkes Day, and from the time King Henry The VIII was officially excommunicated from The Roman Catholic Church by Pope Paul III in 1538 (encyclopedias). Of course, our Founding Fathers cited The Magna Carta often when creating our U.S. Constitution, U.S. Bill of Rights, Habeas Corpus, and a person's guaranteed right to a trial by jury.

Ruler of Hesse Kassel was King Frederick II who married Princess Landgravine (died: January 15th, 1772), the daughter of King George The II. "To George Washington from Johann Christoph Koehler 1780" or Journals of The House of Commons, Vol. 23, page 488, pub. 1803, by The Parliament of Great Britain. Why are you neglecting to mention that? Message by a descendant of Roger Williams, once a student of Sir Edward Coke?
